The decision of the California Supreme Court to uphold Proposition 8 (denying the right of same-sex couples to marry) on May 26th was certainly a controversial move, and thousands showed their opposition in the streets of West Los Angeles.

The evening was a strong rallying call for the civil rights of gay couples in California, and citizens did all they could to make their voices heard.
